How long have you been working for DechtmanWealth?

14 years

What is your favorite part of your job with DechtmanWealth?

I like the ever-changing industry. You are always learning something new. I enjoy working with our clients and helping to research their questions and making sure they get what they need. I love working for a small firm where you can make a difference and being a part of a great team.

Do you have any hobbies?

I love to read the paper, clean (yes, I run a little on the OCD side), work out in the yard and hike.

Tell us one thing that not many people know about you.

My two oldest daughters were both in Sports Illustrated on August 12, 1991.

When you were little, what did you want to be “when you grew up?”

A teacher.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

My father told me that I was as smart as anyone else – so of course I believed him!

What are 3 of your favorite movies?

The Princess Bride, What About Bob, The Wizard of Oz – all classics!

What is your favorite thing to do outside of the office?

I love to go with my husband and dog for walks/hikes and to visit my grandchildren in Greeley, KS and California. My two oldest granddaughters are following in their mother’s footsteps playing softball!

Do you have a “Bucket List” and if so, what are the top two things on it?

I don’t really have a Bucket List so I better start. I would like to go on a zipline and go to Europe.

What is one of your most treasured memories?

Growing up my father would take all us kids (4 of us) up to a ranch in Wyoming for a couple of weeks each summer. He taught sessions on Biblical interpretations, and we would run wild!! There was no TV so we were forced to meet all kinds of wonderful people. We would canoe, hike and horseback ride.

If you didn’t “have” to work for a whole year, how would you spend your days?

Visiting my three daughters and their families.

What is the one thing you have never done in your life, but always really wanted to?

Travel to Europe.

If money was no object and you could go on vacation for a month, anywhere in the world, where would you go? Who would you take with your or would you go by yourself?

I would go to Europe with my husband and whoever else in my family wanted to come and visit England, France, Italy & Spain.

Are you a cat person or a dog person?

Dog person, but I like cats too.

What is the first thing you notice about another person when you meet them for the first time?

Their smile.

Where did you go to school?

I received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Denver and an Associates Degree in Nursing from Arapahoe Community College.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Littleton – not far from The Streets at SouthGlenn. I am almost a native – We moved here when I was 7 years old.
